Carnelian

Carnelian - a translucent, semiprecious variety of the silica mineral chalcedony that owes its red to reddish brown colour to colloidally dispersed hematite (iron oxide) Carnelian is the gemstone of joy, exuberance and increased energy. Carnelian occurs in a wide variation of locations in NZ, however the Carnelian we generally work comes from Northlands west Coast.
